Coming to My Party?

Be sure you’ve got Saturday, March 21 from 4-6pm reserved on your calendar, to attend my book launch party! I’ve already got friends coming from Seattle, Minnesota, and one from as far as Florida to celebrate the occasion! So please, come if you possibly can.

It will take place in my hometown, Sequim, Washington, in the space upstairs above Nourish Restaurant (click on their name for a link to their site – they have directions there.) I’ve hired musicians: award-winning young talent Kate and Ethan Powers, on fiddle and guitar. They call their duo “A Wink and a Grin.” I’ve got an excellent face painter coming, Marjorie Newberg, who has promised fairies and pirates and dragons. There will be refreshments available: tea and cookies for the fairies, hardtack and grog for the pirates. I’ll be reading from my book, and I’ll have copies for sale as well as being available to autograph them.

Suggested donation at the door $1/adults, $0.50 children goes to Soroptomist International of Sequim for their work empowering girls.

Oh, and I forgot prizes – from stickers to library bags to Nourish Restaurant gift certificates, we’ll be giving away something every ½ hour—must be present to win. You get one ticket toward prizes just for showing up, another when you share your e-mail address with me, and 2 more if you come in costume (fairies, pirates, dragons, and Merry Band members suggested.)

With luck, my “cover girl” Alexi Rampp-Taft will put in an appearance as Piper Pan herself!

I’m designing the event to be just plain fun, so please plan to come to add your spirit to the swing of it!

Today’s audio is Chapter 10: “Plots and More Plots.” It becomes apparent that there is far more to Belle and Captain Li’l Jack’s connection than first met the eye. Piper beware!

If you are on Facebook, do me the favor of “sharing” this post on your wall—you may have friends who can come. I’d love the help getting the word out. Thank you! So— are you planning on coming to my party?
