Update on Book 2: Becoming Piper Pan

I’m finding a stronger story axis as I rework book 2. It’s a process requiring many iterations. Each time I see a little more clearly what’s really going on and how to better tell the story. I wish for your sake that writing happened as quickly as reading does!

However, remember that all good things come to those who wait. Publication date is definitely pushed back, although I’m still hoping to complete it before the year is out. Stay tuned…

Portrait of Fairy Royalty

The most fun, thanks to Aisha Zaleha Latip, is that I have a new illustration to share with you! Remember at the start of The Curse of the Neverland, Belle, formerly Tinker Bell, is in the Crystal City in Fairyland in her beige condo? We learned that every domicile is required to have a portrait of the fairy king and queen, King Oberon and Queen Titania, on display. The royal pair uses the portraits to visit their fairy citizens.

Creative collaboration is the best—it’s been such fun going back and forth with Aisha to make it just right (according to the pictures in my head!) Hope you enjoy it, too!

Down the line this will become a character card you can add to your collection, and hopefully, a downloadable character poster as well.

Can you guess which real live actors I used to build the character portraits from? Leave a comment with your best guess!
